The Mandarin Oriental is considered by many to be the best hotel in the Barcelona. Located near all of Barcelona’s major attractions on the famous Passeig de Gràcia, the 120-room hotel functions more as a boutique hotel with the highest staff-to-guest ratio of any property in the city. Also of note, the hotel just hired famed chef Carme Ruscalleda to oversee all of the restaurants on property. She only woman in the world with seven Michelin stars to her credit. Ruscalleda is most known for her three Michelin star Restaurant Sant Pau in the Spanish coastal town of Sant Pol de Mar. Her story is compelling. She and her husband were working in her father's deli across the street from what is now her current acclaimed restaurant. They purchased the property and started a simple dining room. The rest is history.

Also, until December 16 you can visit Bar Boulud a speakeasy pop-up french bistro and wine bar by famed chef Daniel Boulud. Even if you are not staying at the hotel, it is a great stop for a glass of wine.
