Story of a Goddess
at Angkor Wat
Explore more than 1,200 square meters of carved bas reliefs of Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world in Siem Reap Cambodia. A knowledgeable guide can help provide context for the 8 different hindu stories represented. While most visitors are only familiar with Angkor Wat, the Angkor Archaeological Park contains the remains of the different capitals of the Khmer Empire from the 9th to the 15th century and includes Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and the Bayon Temple.

Composed of stainless steel and flowering plants, the imposting yet playful sculpture is beautifully organic against the shimmering steel of the Frank Gehry architectural masterpiece. The building, made of titanium, limestone and glass, is recognized as one of the most important architectural achievements of the 20th century. A visit to Bilbao is easy from a homebase of San Sebastián, a town with more Michelin stars per square meter than anywhere in the world.
